Exciting News + Recipe Inside

Hello Again,
I know, I know! I have been slacking with writing my blogs, but believe me I am trying.  I just wanted to wish you a wonderful Spring!! Boy, aren’t we fortunate with this wonderful weather?

So, get ready for some BIG news! There is a reason why this blog has been slightly quiet. I have been busy being a “movie star”! No, the truth is that I entered a contest called the Macy’s Million Dollar Makeover. I was chosen from a pool of over 22,000 contestants as one of the 3 finalists!

You have to watch the show, which airs on TLC, April 17th at 7 PM.  I am so excited and I tell you, it was an experience that I will never forget.  Just being a finalist was a surreal experience, and THEN being in the studio filming was even more so!  I have been incredibly blessed and now I know that launching Chee’Bonnet one year ago on April Fools Day proved to be the right thing to do.  Now I hope that I don’t make a fool of myself on TV with 3 or 4 million people watching me!!  Oh well it’s too late now; like they say, “once a fool, always a fool.” Haha!

All joking aside, I thank you with all of my heart for your encouragement, kind words, and cheering me on when I felt I should throw in the towel.  We all need one another to boost up our spirits and to motivate us when things get tough … and to also be there to share in the celebration when things are going well.

Life has its highs and lows as we all know, but faith gives us the strength we need to move on.  I pray for you that during your times of trials and joy that you also have the faith to keep you strong.

I should have many interesting stories to tell you after my Hollywood debut.  I met so many wonderful people that were willing to help me in any way … so listen, when push gets to shove, people are there for you, and those are the people that are your life-long friends.

Here is a cool recipe that you can make before you watch my television debut … LOL. It is fast and easy so you don’t miss any of my fame … sit back and enjoy the show.  You know me, when I got nervous, I even told Clinton Kelly to BREATHE!!!  Too funny!!

MAPLE POPCORN

Pop one large bag of popcorn; pour into a bowl and heat a little less than a quarter of a cup of maple syrup (the real stuff). Distribute it evenly over the popcorn and add a sprinkling of salt.

See, I told you it would be easy! Hope you enjoy the popcorn, and of course, the show!

Updates : I have officially developed 12 flavors of Chee’Bonnets.  I will offer a new flavor every couple of months so you can try them and decide on your favorite.  Also, another flavor contest is in the works! We will keep you posted on cheebonnet.com

I will leave you with these words that really hit home for me :
The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.
Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do.

Many Blessings,
Pat
