Well this week is going smooth or at least as smooth as it can be expected. I am still waiting on samples for my boxes. Boy, everything takes so long. I am being very patient. All good things come to those who wait. That is what I have been told. In a way it has been good that it is taking a little longer than expected…I now know what I really want instead of rushing into something that I wouldn’t be happy with.
As I keep on telling you, NEVER GIVE UP!!!! Forge ahead!! We may have the passion, but the person helping you doesn’t, so patience is the key. I’ll get there sooner than later. I find in business you need perseverance and tons of it.
On a positive note….my trademark name and logo Chee’ Bonnet has been approved. YAHOO!!!! That only took approximately 9 months or so, but who’s counting!!! The name and logo is mine. What a wonderful feeling. My baby has a name and no one can take it. That my friend is an accomplishment!!!
Now that, you little entrepreneur’s is a wonderful feeling. You see, as I keep on saying, just forge ahead and the rewards are endless.
I have also been marketing my Chee’s wherever I go. A little hint….do not go anywhere without your brochures and/or business cards. You never know who you are going to meet up with. By doing this I got another account this week. I tell everyone I meet about the Chee’s and I’m willing to give samples to every one of them. It’s so great to see the expressions on their faces when they take the first bite.
Foodie people are so fun to be around. You know I never met anyone around the food table that was not happy!!!
I have a long way to go with launching my Chee’s, but as I evaluate everything along the way I not only learn so much, I get to meet people from all over the country and that is a bonus.
I am going to leave you with some fun facts about cheesecake…you never know maybe Chee’ Bonnet’s will make the Guinness World Record too..
1. Cheesecake is believed to have originated in Greece more than 4,000 years ago. It is also believed to have been served to athletes competing during the first Olympic games in 776 B.C. to give them energy.
2. The largest cheesecake ever made weighed a hefty 4,703 pounds. Philadelphia Kraft Foods Mexico made the giant cake, which set a Guinness World Record on January 25, 2009 in Mexico.
3. If fruit-topped cheesecake isn't exciting enough for you, how about cheesecake with such unusual ingredients as salsa, seafood, green tea, sun-dried tomato or wasabi? A quick online search will turn up recipes featuring these and other imaginative ingredients.
4. "The Golden Girls," cast consumed more than 100 cheesecakes (the characters' favorite dessert) over the course of the TV show's seven-year run.
A little quote for you - “Never be afraid to try, remember…Amateurs built the ark, Professionals built the Titanic.
